"The camera sees more than the mind knows."
--Edward Weston
Other than writing fiction, I have an equal passion for taking pictures.
I first picked up a camera to shoot seriously and to develop my own pictures when I was about 18. It clicked so much with me that I went on to get my degree from the Rochester Institute of Technology's school of photography in 1975.
As a publications creative director for twenty years and a developer of interactive publications since 2000, fine art photography has been an integral part of what I do. Photography has not only inspired my professional career, it has enhanced my writing, for the more in depth you shoot, the more in depth you see. So for me, shooting pictures is a vital catharsis. And it is a total joy.
